The FED Learning Center is an independent provider of valuable education and hands-on technical training to the Fire and Life Safety community from credible, industry-leading experts. With courses on Kitchen Suppression Systems, Portable Fire Extinguishers, Alarm Systems, and Exit and Emergency Lighting, you will find the training you or your technicians need.
Below is a listing of their current available Courses. Each one will take you through a curriculum, designed by in-house technical experts, that will provide proficient training on the selected course topic.
Courses
Our Kitchen Suppression Systems course is designed
to provide attendees an overview of the commercial
kitchen fire safety environment and the basics of
how Kitchen Suppression Systems work, including an
opportunity for hands-on, practical training. This
training will provide product information on a
variety of manufacturer’s products; information on
standards, codes, and enforcement, as well as a
step-by-step guide to inspecting and maintaining
Kitchen Suppression Systems.
A detailed maintenance checklist is provided and
explained, which can be used for everyday
servicing.

Our Fire Alarm Systems course is designed to
provide attendees with the proper information
on codes and enforcement, per NFPA72. The
course teaches the fundamentals of fire alarm
technology and offers a hands-on training
experience with various manufacturer
systems. Course attendees will receive a
step-by-step check list for inspection and
testing of fire alarm systems.

designed to provide the hands-on knowledge
you and your technicians need to do the
job while keeping you current on the
latest product innovations, local and
national codes, and, most importantly, how
to sell
these products and services.

Our Fire Extinguishers Course is
designed to provide attendees an
overview of how Fire Extinguishers
became important; product information;
information on standards, codes, and
the enforcement of them; selection and
installation; calculating extinguisher
coverage; recharging; and hydrostatic
testing. There is a hands-on component
with the equipment as well as a deep
dive into the inspection and
maintenance of extinguishers.
